💯 Days Smarter at Memorial Elementary!
We are officially 100 days smarter on Thursday, January 22nd! To celebrate this incredible milestone and all the hard work our students have put in since the first day of school, we are hosting a special spirit day.

Check out the details below and get ready to celebrate with us!

🗓️ Event Details
When: Thursday, January 22, 2026
Who: All Students and Staff

🎨 Choose Your 100th Day Style!
We encourage students to get creative! Your child can participate by choosing one of these three fun themes:

⭐The "Centenarian" Look: Dress up like you are 100 years old! Think gray hair, glasses, cardigans, and canes.

⭐The "100 Items" Shirt: Wear a shirt decorated with 100 items. Get creative with safety pins, stickers, pom-poms, or even 100 handprints!

⭐The "Future" Look: Dress like you are from 100 years in the future! Think aliens, astronauts, or "galactic" shiny outfits.

✨ Why We Celebrate
The 100th day is a major milestone in the school year. It’s a time to reflect on how much our students have grown, practice counting to 100 in fun ways, and build our school community.

Note to Parents: Participation is optional but highly encouraged! We can’t wait to see the amazing outfits and celebrate this milestone together.

🎄🧝‍♂️ Elf Training Day in PE! 🧝‍♀️🎄

PE was full of holiday magic as we welcomed a very special guest for Elf Training! Mrs. Owens’ VPK class was officially put to the test by Jingles, the Official Elf Trainer, to see if they have what it takes to become one of Santa’s helpers.

Elves have very important jobs, and our students had to complete a series of festive challenges to earn their certification:

🎯 Feed the Reindeer – tossing bean bags into the cornhole board
❄️ Snowball Toss – throwing snowballs at the snowflake target
🛷 Santa’s Sleigh Ride – scooter board through the obstacle course
🎁 Deliver the Presents – walking the balance beam across the “ice” to deliver a present
📦 Stack the Presents & Run with the Reindeer

Once all tasks were completed, each student received a Certified Elf name tag, and the entire class earned a special certificate from Jingles himself!

What a fun and festive time we had training our little elves in PE. We are pretty sure Santa has some new helpers ready for the North Pole! 🎅

PE TURKEY TROT! 🦃🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Friday, Nov 21st was a BIG day for our Patriots! Memorial Elementary held its very first PE Turkey Trot under Coach Riffle and Coach Hitchcock, and our students showed up READY to run! Each grade level came out during their specials time and gave it their all on the track.

🎖️ We celebrated the Top 3 Boys and Top 3 Girls in each grade level with small prizes for their awesome effort and sportsmanship.

🏅 And EVERY student who participated earned a Turkey Trot ribbon and a popsicle, thanks to our wonderful sponsors and donations that helped make this event possible.

The smiles, the encouragement, the teamwork—today was what PE is all about! ❤️💙

We can’t wait to build on this tradition. This was the first… but definitely not the last. The Turkey Trot will only get bigger and better each year!
