🎬 Red Ribbon Week Finale: Peace Out to Drugs! 🎬 We wrapped up Red Ribbon Week with "Life is a Movie - Film Drug-Free!" on Friday, October 28 - November 1, showing our commitment to a drug-free lifestyle. For our last dress-up day, students and staff wore colorful tie-dye for “Peace Out to Drugs!” ✌️🌈 Pictures also included of our door decorating contest participants for Red Ribbon Week. 🎃 Red Ribbon Week Recap: Thursday Fun! 🎃 On October 31st, we celebrated Halloween with the theme, “Drugs are scary – stay away!” Students wore their favorite costumes and took a stand against drugs in style! 🧛‍♂️👻 To top it off, we held a PBIS Celebration for all students who’ve shown outstanding behavior, with no referrals or three or fewer behavior logs in the first nine weeks. ❤️🤍💙 Patriotism in Action at MES ❤️🤍💙 This month’s character word is Patriotism, and as the home of the Patriots, MES had the honor of presenting on this topic at last night’s School Board meeting. 👏 A huge shoutout to Mrs. Brown’s class for creating an outstanding presentation! They defined patriotism, shared quotes from famous figures, and even wrote their own inspiring words. Special thanks to Fallyn Danielson, Mason Fairfield, and Clayre Martin for attending the meeting and introducing the video. 🍂 Florida Fall Fun in PE! 🍂 We might live in sunny Florida, but today in PE, students got a taste of fall by gathering leaves – with a twist! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ The challenge? Run, grab a pool noodle "leaf," drop it in the bucket, and dash back to your team. At last night's School Board Meeting, Mrs. Vermilye had the opportunity to recognize Aubrey Martin for receiving a perfect score in 3rd Grade FAST Reading assessment in May. MES is so proud of you!
