The APH SAC meeting that was scheduled for Monday, December 9th has been cancelled. The next SAC meting will be Monday, February 10th. We hope to see you then.

APHS Families: Tomorrow, Dec 5th, 11th and 12th grade students who have not met the reading graduation requirement will be taking the FAST ELA Retakes. On Monday, Dec 9th, any student who has passed the Algebra class but has not met the math graduation requirement will be taking the BEST Alg EOC Retakes. Advisement teachers informed all students who are testing in the next few days, but if your student is unsure please have them reach out to their guidance counselor. Please make sure your student arrives to school on time, has their chromebook charged, and eats breakfast. We want to wish them all good luck!

Join college and school representatives Tuesday evening at 5:30 at APHS to learn more about the FAFSA application for seniors as they begin their first steps toward securing financing for college.

Last April, Avon Park High School held their Night of 100 Years, a celebration of 100 years of Accreditation for APHS. The timeline of pictures and posters was turned into a memory book. APHS still has some of these memory books for sale for $10 if you are interested. Please stop by the APHS front office Monday through Friday from 8am to 3:30pm if you would like to purchase one.

The APHS Wrestling team has a team store apparel sale going on for the next two weeks. Please take a look at their gear and support your local wrestlers in the process. Attention Parents of Seniors: Project Graduation now has a Facebook page to help communicate with parents and families. Check out APHS Project Graduation 2025. Come and join us at the Avon Park Christmas Parade on Monday, Dec. 2nd. Project Grad will be selling food and drinks near the Gazebo. Stop by and suppor your seniors!

This afternoon at APHS there was a report of an unusual odor in a building on campus. Out of an abundance of caution, classes in that building were relocated and the lunch bell was delayed as the odor was investigated. There is no danger to the campus, this is simply a precautionary measure to allow for the source of the odor to be determined.

Due to damage to our vendor in Plant City, the FFEA Pumpkin Patch fundraiser has been cancelled for this year. Look for the Pumpkin Patch in 2025!

This message is regarding Soccer Tryouts ~ Boys and girls soccer tryouts are this week Monday, Oct 14 - Thursday, Oct 17 from 4:00 to 5:30. Boys are at the Boys and Girls Club (The Rec) and girls are on the softball outfield at APHS. If students have any conflicts, please get with Mr. Virkler on Monday.

Seniors~ Don't forget that Monday is the final day for senior portraits. You can find your appointment time in your confirmation email from Lifetouch that you received after booking your session. If you have not made an appointment and you have not had your photo taken, they will accept walk-ins Monday only.
