Are you an APHS alumni? Do you have memorbilia from your time APHS? APHS will be celebrating 100 years of school accreditation during our Night of 100 Stars on April 11, 2024. We will be having a planning meeting on Thursday, March 21 at 6pm in the media center if you would like to help us as we plan for a 100 year celebration. We are looking for alumni from all decades to join us.

On Friday, we made sure to feed our staff really well with a cookout of burgers and sausages before we sent them off on a much needed spring break. It was a great time of good and fellowship. A huge shout out to some generous donors who helped make this possible: Wild Turkey Tavern, Sandhill Grill, The Watering Hole, and HTFL, Inc. Be sure to stop by and pay them a visit when you have a chance. These businesses do a great job taking care of our schools! Have a restful, safe spring break. See you back on March 18th.

Today's district wide Special Stars was a huge success! Thank you to all of the organizations who helped make this program possible. Our APHS Red Devil athletes had an amazing time! They started the day off with a clap out of support by our students and staff. Today's Special Stars was dedicated to the memory of Andrea Brown, who was a huge supporter of our athletes. Today, we wore pink in her memory. #SchoolofChampions #GoBigRed

Attention parents: Tomorrow (3/6) is SAT SCHOOL DAY for ALL Juniors and for any senior who has not passed the graduation requirement for ELA. Please have your student come to school with their Chromebook charged and ready to test.

On February 29th, APH will be holding an 8th Grade Parent Night for incoming freshmen. This will be a wonderful opportunity to meet with administration, counselors, and to see various clubs and classes that are available. Start time is at 5:30 PM in the APH Auditorium. We hope to see you there!

Congratulations to our senior student of the month, Terry Pralo. Terry was honored Thursday at the Avon Park Chamber Luncheon. Terry is a lifetime resident of Avon Park. She is captain of the APHS varsity cheer team and competitive cheer team, reigning Homecoming Queen and president of APH Student Government Association. After graduation, Terry plans to attend college to become an RN. Congratulations, Terry Pralo! #GoBigRed

On Saturday, the APHS Girls Weightlifting Team competed at districts! As a team, they finished 4th in Olympic and 5th in Traditional! They had a few PR’s and every girl finished way higher than they started this season! Next stop, Regionals! APHS would like to extend a HUGE thank you to Weikert Ford and their Mobile Service team. To show their appreciation for teachers and staff, they provided free on-site oil changes. APHS sends a huge thank you! You rock!

APHS Competitive Cheer Team participated at Nationals and won 1st Place for Traditional, 1st Place for Game Day AND they won Overall Grand Champion! They have done fantastic this cheer season. We wish them luck at state competition! #GoBigRed #SchoolofChampions
