🏎️ Exciting News for Sebring High School ! 🏎️
We are thrilled to announce that students from the Robotics and Engineering program at Sebring High School have been invited to compete in the prestigious Florida Power & Light Electrathon this May!
The Electrathon is a unique competition where students design, build, and race lightweight, energy-efficient electric vehicles. These vehicles are powered by batteries and are engineered to maximize performance and efficiency while showcasing creativity and technical expertise.
Under the leadership of their dedicated instructor, Mike Harris, our students will be hard at work preparing for this exciting event. They’ll be taking on teams from across the state, racing their innovative creations on the legendary Sebring Raceway.
This competition not only highlights the importance of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education but also teaches teamwork, problem-solving, and sustainability.
Congratulations to our students for this incredible opportunity! Let’s cheer them on as they prepare to electrify the track in May! ⚡🚗

We would like to congratulate our bookkeeper, Mrs. Natalie Grubb, for another successful internal accounts audit. Dr. Brenda Longshore, Superintendent of Schools, and Mrs. Stephanie Hanks, Director of Finance, joined Mrs. Ervin, Dr. Stapleton and Mrs. Sherley to recognize Mrs. Grubb. As the bookkeeper, she manages the money for all sports, clubs, fees and finances for Sebring High. We really appreciate all she does every day!
⚡️Our juniors & seniors had a great morning yesterday as they visited MANY booths that promoted different careers & opportunities within our own community‼️
We are grateful for this highly anticipated Career Fair event each January💙
We hope our Sebring High families have enjoyed the break and that students are ready for school tomorrow. All students need to pick up a new schedule in the Smith Center (similar to the first day of school) prior to going to their first class. Please also charge Chromebooks tonight. The local scholarship book is ready. Hard copies will be given out in English classes and are available in guidance. An electronic version is loaded in the SHS Class of 2025 Google Classroom.
